Japanese A5 Wagyu represents the pinnacle of beef quality, with an extraordinary level of marbling that creates a melt-in-your-mouth experience. Raised with meticulous care, A5 Wagyu is prized for its unparalleled tenderness and delicate, buttery flavour. Whether you prefer the robust flavours of Australian Wagyu or the exquisite delicacy of Japanese A5 Wagyu, both options promise a memorable culinary experience.

Product Features

The Australian wagyu scoring system grades beef quality from 0 to 9 based on marbling, color, texture, and overall appearance. Trained assessors visually inspect the meat, assigning higher scores to beef with better marbling and overall quality. The higher the score, the more desirable and valuable the beef.

The Japanese wagyu grading system evaluates beef quality based on marbling, color, texture, and fat quality, using a scale from 1 to 5 for each attribute. The overall grade combines these scores, with A5 being the highest, indicating exceptional marbling and quality. Higher grades mean more desirable and premium beef.

Product Options

Australian Wagyu Fireman’s Axe (aka Tomahawk)

Approximate cost = $336 per steak

  • Marble score 9+ (the highest possible score in the Australian scoring system!)
  • Price = $28/100g
  • Non-refundable deposit = $150 per steak
  • Bone-in rib steaks will be approx. 1.2 kg each (~42 oz) and feed 3 to 4 people.

Australian Wagyu Ribeye Steak

Approximate cost = $115-$130 per steak

  • Marble score 8+
  • Price = $32.50/100g
  • Non-refundable deposit = $50 per steak
  • Steaks will cut and be sold in approx. 350-400g pieces (~12-14 oz).

Japanese Wagyu Striploin Steak

Approximate cost = $145-$160 per steak

  • Marble score A5 (the highest graded steak in the world!)
  • Price = $64.50/100g
  • Non-refundable deposit = $100 per steak
  • Steaks will be cut and sold in approx. 225-250g pieces (~8 oz).

We have a limited number of Wagyu steaks available for pre-order, so book as soon as possible to confirm your order and avoid disappointment.

A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your order. The deposit amount will be deducted from the total cost of your order upon pick-up.

Deposit payments may be made:

  1. Via our online store, by making your selection at the top of this page.
  2. In person at the shop during open hours (sorry, we do not accept credit cards over the phone).
  3. Via e-transfer to bsbpreorder@gmail.com once your order has been confirmed by us. **Please do not send an etransfer until your order has been confirmed.**

Pre-Orders Pick-up

Pre-orders will be available to pick-up in the shop during the following days/times – no appointment required:

  • Friday, June 14 anytime between 10:00am-5:30pm
  • Saturday, June 15 anytime between 10:00am-4pm
