Australian wagyu beef is highly valued for its exceptional marbling, tenderness, and flavor. According to Meat & Livestock Australia, the unique genetics and breeding techniques used in Australian wagyu production result in beef that is highly sought after by chefs and consumers around the world.

Additionally, Australian wagyu beef is produced with a focus on animal welfare and sustainability, making it a responsible choice for those who prioritize ethical and environmental concerns when choosing their food.

Product Features

The Australian wagyu beef scoring system is a way of grading the quality of wagyu beef based on its marbling, color, texture, and overall appearance. The system ranges from 0 to 9, with higher scores indicating better quality beef. The scores are determined by trained assessors who visually inspect the meat and assign a score based on specific criteria, such as the amount and distribution of intramuscular fat. The higher the score, the more desirable and valuable the beef is.

Australian Wagyu Beef Ribeye Steaks

Approximate cost = $140 per steak

  • Marble score 7/8
  • Price = $40/100g
  • Steaks will be cut and sold in approx. 350g pieces (slightly smaller than the average size of the ribeye steaks we usually carry).

Australian Wagyu Beef Striploin Steaks

Approximate cost = $113 per steak

  • Marble score 9+ (the highest possible score in the Australian scoring system!)
  • Price = $50/100g
  • Steaks will cut and be sold in approx. 225g pieces (smaller than the striploin steaks we usually carry).

Ordering Information

The steaks available for pre-order have now all been spoken for. Contact us to put your name on a waiting list, and if there are additional steaks available after the pre-ordered ones have been cut, we will contact you to see if you’d like to reserve one. Any steaks that remain beyond that will be available for purchase in the shop June 16 & 17 while quantities last.

Pre-Orders Pick-up

Pre-orders will be available to pick-up in the shop during the following days/times – no appointment required:

  • Friday, June 16 anytime between 11:30am-5:30pm
  • Saturday, June 17 anytime between 11:30am-4pm
